FAQ

Can you provide a quote over the phone or by email if I send you photos?

We are happy to take a look at your photos but will never provide a quote without visiting the site. There are many factors that need to be considered when putting together a quote such as access, drainage and the current condition of the ground. Often things can be left unseen in photos or video calls and unlike some other companies, we do not issue estimates which can then escalate as such issues arise. We prefer to assess everything in detail and give you a price for all the work involved.

When you receive your quote, it will be broken down into sections to detail how much each element will cost, also allowing our clients to pick and choose which parts they wish to go ahead with if the budget is tight or to price for several options leaving the final decisions until later.

How long will the process take?

We aim to arrange your site visit within 14 days of your enquiry depending on yours and Keith’s availability. Please bear in mind that Keith works on site Monday - Friday so will arrange most visits at the weekend or possibly late afternoon if you are nearby to where he is working.

We then allow up to 14 days to prepare and issue your quote by email. You can accept this at any point (within 30 days from issue) and we book Keith’s time in the diary on a first come, first served basis. The length of your job will depend entirely on the work that you are having done and we can advise you of this at the time.

Please bear in mind that as Spring and Summer approach and everyone wants to get out in the garden, we book up very quickly and often book months ahead in the diary.

Do you arrange everything? All the materials, labour and waste removal?

Yes, our quote will include labour, all required materials and licenced waste removal. We only use licenced waste removal in the form of grab lorries or skips. We will arrange deliveries and all logistics so you will not be required to do a thing.

Please note that we do not offer labour only quotes.

How long are your quoted prices valid for?

Our quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

This is due to the fast paced changes in material prices at the moment. However, if you accept your quote and secure a date in the diary, this will be the price that you pay, even if your booking is a few months ahead. If you choose to book & secure your date more than 6 months ahead, we will need to requote nearer to your booking but are happy to reserve your place in the diary.

How does payment work? Can we pay in instalments?

When you receive your quote, you will see that for each element we provide the total price, which is then broken down into 2 parts; the deposit and the balance. We ask for the deposits to be paid 28 days prior to your start date which allows us to purchase and order all your required materials in time. The balance is then due within 7 days of completion. We will invoice in good time for both and the deposit invoice is sent across with your service contract to protect your payment and ensure that we receive our balance payment.

Do you accept card payments?

At the moment, we are unable to accept card payments and provide our bank details for transfers on all invoices.

Is my payment secure and protected?

We have a business bank account to accept payments.

When we issue your first invoice for your deposit payment, we also send across a service agreement contract which is signed by Keith and outlines the services that he is agreeing to provide following your deposit payment.

We ask for a copy, signed by the client, to be returned to us prior to the work commencing so that we know the terms are agreeable and to ensure the balance payment is paid after completion.

Are you VAT registered?

We are a VAT registered company so must include VAT at the current rate.

Please let us know if you are also VAT registered, in the construction industry and not the end user so that we know when to apply the reverse charge.

Are you fully insured?

Keith is insured for public liability for up to £2 million.
