Your Decking
Garden Decking Designs
There are many ways to brighten up your garden and provide areas for seating and family gatherings. Choosing either a patio or decking area extends your usable space and creates a hard standing zone for al fresco dining.
Decking has proven popular over the years, due to its natural appearance it complements your lawn and garden beautifully without looking out of place. Developments in materials for decking mean that we can also offer composite decking which provides more longevity for a longer lasting deck and better value for money.
Composite Decking
A modern alternative to timber decking is composite decking which provides all the great qualities of timber and more!
Composite decking retains the attractiveness of timber as it is available in very natural colours with the same riven grain effects however if you wanted to add a splash of colour to your space, this decking could provide this for you also. Installed in the same way as timber decking, it is a non-porous material that is weather resistant meaning that your chosen colour lasts a lot longer without treatment, does not become slippery or deteriorate from exposure to the elements. It is more durable and hard wearing than timber and will not rot or encourage mould growth. Simple washing of the deck will keep it looking fresh.
Composite decking is also more environmentally friendly and does not support deforestation so if this is something that is close to your heart, this decking would be a great choice for you to still have a beautiful outside space without compromise.
To complement your composite decking in other areas of your garden, we can install composite cladding to walls, planters and vertical spaces. This can either match your decking or you can choose a complimenting colour to add interest to your outside space. Cladding has the same riven wood effect and is also a weather resistant and long lasting material to keep your garden looking fresh.
Wooden Decking
The more traditional option of wooden decking provides an attractive and safe area for children to play and adults to gather. It is strong and durable, lasting many years with fairly low maintenance needs. Visually, wooden decking can create a softer look than concrete or paving and marries beautifully with the natural elements of your garden.
Decking can be used to create zones in your garden and increase usable space, sometimes in turn increasing the value of your property. It can be used to create different levels in your space or help to landscape steep gardens into more desirable areas. There are many options and reasons why decking can work for you.
Timber decking is made from durable, high quality woods with non-slip and sustainable options available. Following our installation, we recommend treating the wood & continuing to clean and retreat annually to increase the lifespan and appearance of your deck.
